This is great protein supplement if you cannot tolerate other forms (ex. whey or egg whites). If you want to learn how to calculate how much protein to take according to your body weight and more, check out my article on Why Protein And Why More.
Beef Liver Capsules
Liver is one of the most nutrient dense foods. It took me awhile to get comfortable eating liver on a weekly basis. If you are not ready to make the dive to eating liver, Vital Proteins makes a great capsule version with the micronutrients (ex. B vitamins and more) from liver. When you are ready to start eating liver, try my liver pâté recipe.
Sometimes I don't have time to make bone broth or make chicken soup to get glycine and collagen - an important amino acid and protein for restorative sleep, joint health, healthy skin, and more. Vital Proteins makes a collagen peptide from grass-fed and pastured raised cows. You can mix this powder in a smoothie or with water and some lemon juice. I created a recipe that helps me recover faster that includes collagen peptides.
